I always find this part kind of hard – what to say? How much detail? Does anybody actually read this part? Who knows – so I’ll just throw some random bits and pieces out there and see what happens. So here, in no particular order, is a brief and totally incomplete self-portrait:
- I love knitting. A lot. And yarn. It’s almost obscene. Someday I would like to publish my own knitting pattern, probably socks.
- Photography is becoming a passion as well, though I’m learning as I go and absolutely no formal training or instruction. That is sometimes painfully obvious, but be patient, sometimes I get a good one.
- My name is Rebecca and I hate it. It makes me think of a pioneer woman on the prairies, grubby-faced children behind, a covered wagon and a shotgun in her hand.
- I love to bake. I’m fairly certain that I would make a great housewife.
- Not a big fan of coffee, but I do love me some tea.
- Done correctly, swearing is an art-form.
- My ideal profession is beachcomber. I love to pocket the nifty rocks and shells I find at the beach. I have a pretty nice collection of sea urchins. I found my first sand dollars this summer.
- Road-trips, especially those that involve ferry rides, are awesome.
- If I hadn’t gotten a D in second year French, my GPA would be a lot more impressive.
- I’m shy.
- Getting stuff in the mail makes my day.
- I’ve never lived outside the city that I was born in. Strangely enough, I don’t find that depressing.
- I’m going to make an effort to blog more regularly, even if the only person reading it is myself.
